My full name is Andrew Glaser, and I am known by friends, colleagues and clients as Andy.
After nearly three decades of experience in a variety of automotive repair projects, I decided to take the leap to start my own business.
Since, 1985, I have developed expertise, training, experience and certifications in undercar repair with an emphasis on exhaust (repair, replacement, fabrication of exhaust systems).
In the past few years, I’ve seen a significant rise in the demand for exhaust work, mostly due to coastal New England weather, salted winter roads, and the corrosive impact of the sea air. To put it simply, I’ve seen exhaust systems rot out in a thousand New England cars like nowhere else!
Unfortunately, we’ve also seen the decline of adequate knowledge and equipment related to exhaust work across the automotive industry, often disappearing entirely from one auto repair shop to the next.
Given my special skill set, the increasing demand for exhaust work, and the lack of exhaust shops in the North Shore and the Greater Boston area, I decided to open Andy’s Exhaust and Undercar. I fix people’s daily drivers, (mufflers, catalytic converters, flex sections) as well as performance and custom pipes (yes I can make brand new customized pipes to fit the needs of your vehicle!).

Had the best experience going to Andes exhaust in Salem on Jefferson ave. he is a real honest mechanic and the work he does is amazing. I had brought my car to a mechanic in beverly to get my front pipe changed due to a huge hole and the guy patched the whole with some paste and charged me 300$ to do it. Once I noticed the work he had done I brought my car to andys and he completely changed the pipes and did a great job and gave me a great price. I would recommend any one to Andy if you need work done on your car

I know Andy for 3 years now. I know him from when he was working at Monro. He is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. About EXHAUST and UNDERCAR fixes, there is no one better then Andy in Peabody, Salem area. His prices are super reasonable. Work is also completed always on time. Andy just put a complete duel exhaust on my 86 Chevy pickup and it came out AWSOME!! In fact the whole experience was a pleasure. Andes work under my truck looks just as good as the perfectly centered chrome tips coming out of the back of the truck. Andes price was half of the popular shops in the area and the work was just as good!! If you have a antique or hot rod give him a call you won’t be disappointed.

While driving the other day lost in my own world, I kept hearing a merralic noise every time the car would move. Upon instepction I realized a whole section of my undercarriage exhaust system was separated and sscraping and touching the street. A quick check on local shops was googled and Voila… I met and did business with Andy’s Exhaust—5*- The individual running the shop was available and had my truck on a lift within 10 minutes. Assessment was done and price was quoted. Job was done within an hour and way under expected budget. Andy is an engaging, trustworthy who seemed very knowledgeable of his skill. I would recommend this anyone go get their car serviced there; based on the professionalism experience by a typical American consumer.

Andy has been working on cars for a very long time. He does quality work at fair prices. I made an appointment to have him check a loud exhaust. I got there at 10am and he started immediately working on my car. At 1045am the problem was fixed and I was on my way. He cut out a piece of pipe and replaced it. Many shops would have wanted to replace the entire pipe. I recommend Andy for quality exhaust repair. He is a local guy who owns and operates his business honestly.

Andy is my new exhaust guy. Rolled into his shop at 11:30 AM. Within 5 minutes he had diagnosed the problem, showed and explained the problem, fix, and price(which BTW was hundreds less than I expected to hear). I rolled out of his shop at 12:15, all fixed and paid for. Andy is as honest a guy as I have ever met. He did the job well in a short period of time, at a price that NO ONE could complain about. I had my car worked on today. Andy does a great job and his prices are very reasonable. Had an appointment and he serviced my car on time and showed me what was wrong with the exhaust system and educated me on what was good with the system and also what might go wrong in the future. I was in and out of there in less than a hour. Andy is a personable guy and extremely professional. I will recommend to my family and friends. You can’t go wrong in having your car serviced by him.

I have a 2005 Buick Lesabre and the flanged connection in front of the converter rusted away. Andy gave me a quote over the phone when I explained what my problem was. I made an apointment, brought the car in & Andy was on time. He removed the flanges, tig welded a new of section of pipe in. Andy is honest, kind and does professional work at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend his small business shop to anyone in need of a repair or replacement of a whole new muffler system.
